General Questions
Do you offer custom orders?
We don’t offer custom orders anymore. As the company grew it became increasingly more expensive to be able to order one hat at the time.
Are the hats made by a person in Calgary?
At this moment, all our hats are handmade in Mexico by amazing artists, but Catrina Art’s home is in Calgary. All of our art is designed in-house by Ana, with the occasional collaboration with other artists/designers.
How do I measure my hat size?
With a flexible measuring tape, wrap your head around the highest point of your head (approximately 1⁄2 to 3⁄4 “ above your eyebrows), and follow the size chart accordingly.
Do you sell hats for men?
Yes! Hats have no gender. Catrina Art hats are made for ANYONE who loves them. We offer a variety of sizes, styles and designs, so you most likely will find something you love regardless of gender.
Orders
How can I check the status of my order?
You will receive an email with a tracking number once your order has been shipped, allowing you to track its progress.
Can I modify/cancel my order?
Once your order is placed, it’s locked in—no changes or cancellations, and all sales are final. We know, it’s a bummer, and we’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any issues, feel free to reach out HERE, and we’ll do our best to help where we can!
Order arrived damaged - what now?
Oh no! We do our best to get your order to you in perfect condition, but sometimes things happen along the way. If you received a damaged item, don’t worry—get a hold of us! Just contact us within 7 days of delivery, and be sure to include photos of the damage and your order number from your confirmation email. Click HERE to get started.
Shipping
What is your Shipping Policy?
- Orders are shipped within 5-7 business days.
- Tracking information will be provided for shipments.
- Oversized untracked shipping is not available for hats.
Change the shipping address?
Once your order is submitted, we cannot make changes, so please ensure all details, including your shipping address, are correct before submitting.
Will my packaged by charged delivery, customs, and duty fees?
For all international orders, customs and duty fees might apply depending on your country’s import rules. Unfortunately, we can’t predict if you’ll be charged these fees—they’re based on the value of your order and determined by your country.
Please note: Catrina Art doesn’t cover customs or duty fees. If any fees apply, they’ll need to be paid by you, the parcel recipient. We know it’s not the fun part of shopping, but we want to keep you in the loop!
Pickup
Where can i pick up my order?
We currently do not offer local pickups in Calgary. You can get your hats delivered for a flat fee anywhere in Calgary or get a shipping quote right at checkout.
Returns
Do you offer refunds and exchanges?
- We offer free exchanges on online purchases, provided the hat is in the same condition as when it was purchased.
- Customers must cover shipping for returns, except in cases where the hat arrives damaged (photo proof required).
- You have 2 weeks from receiving your package to request an exchange.
- Refunds are NOT available—only store credit is offered.
- No exchanges or refunds are available for in-person purchases, even if it was just purchased.
Eligible Reasons for Returns on Online Purchases:
- Incorrect sizing (store credit only). Not eligible if the hat has been worn or stained.
- Hat is damaged upon arrival (photo proof of damaged packaging required).
- Stitching on elastic has come undone after one wear.
NOT Eligible Reasons for Returns on Online Purchases:
- I realized the hat is the wrong size after wearing it (yes, even once)
- I changed my mind, and don’t like the design anymore.
- I stained the hat and the stain will not come off.
- The paint came off after I scrubbed the art to remove a stain.
- My partner/friend/parent did not like how it looked on me.
- Art/Cowhide colour is not exactly the same as the picture on the website.
- Hat is a different color than it appears on the website pictures.
- The brim is too wide.
